The beach at Kolona in Kythnos is essentially a sliver of land that links Kythnos to the islet of Agios Loukas. With the water lapping at all of its sides and the beautiful, golden sand that covers it, it does, nevertheless, have a certain beauty.

Additionally, there are mild, largely barren slopes all around the shore. By taxi boat from Merihas, Kythnos’ principal port, Kolona beach is located about 3 kilometers to the west of Chora village. It can also be reached on foot from the port, although it will take you a few hours.
